I wish I knew... I've got a Linksys CF card, and I'm aching to try it out with PPC2003. Unfortunately, Dell isn't as concerned with me getting it. :P

Strange. . . It works with my DLINK DCF660W:
I'm guessing one of the following might be your problem:
(1) You are using pocketWINC and it is making the detection BEFORE the WM2003 can, so the option never shows up in a balloon
or
(2) You are not using the WM2003 Beta drivers for the DCF660W

I'm using a Lynksys card w/ the beta drivers and I don't have that ether. I'm hoping it will work with the final relase of the drivers. Any comments?

I don't have an explanation. I would check to make sure you definately have the latest beta driver (I think there is only one release) from DLINK.
The version of PocketWinC I have is the freebie from PC Mag:
V 1.3 Build 952.
Even more interesting is that it appears that both WINC and WM2003 are trying to help with connections. . .
wow, everyone is trying real hard to protect their WIFI networks and yet the client software is working real hard to make it easy to connect . . .
who will win?

Re: anyone has this functionality on their Ax?
Since nobody else has responded about the Dell branded TrueMobile 1180, I will. This card works great for detecting new networks. (So long as you have SSID turned on. Turn SSID broadcasting off, and it's a little tougher to get up and running.)

I turned off wisbar and i see it. Did not see it with it on. I don't get the choice of network though. I have the netgear card.

Ok, I might as well stay with this while I have the time (no more pics though):
What's up with Avantgo? Works fine for me . . .
