How long have you been waiting? When I upgraded mine I also thought there was a problem, it had said it was going to format the built-in storage and the screen was black for what seemed like an eternity, but it eventually came back on, but not before I needed to have my heart jump started (used to extra capacity battery to do that

I am also having the same problem. I can only power up with a hard reset. Contacted Dell support via e-mail but they responded with a 1-800 number to call. Base on other posts here, sounds like the the call is a waste of time and effort. Curious if anyone has found a solution other than reverting to the previous version.
Thanks | |||||

Frankly, I'm not sure if you guys could revert. If your Axim's are non-responsive, then there won't be any way for your desktop to connect to the Axim in order to initiate the reversion process.
If you are able to revert (which I doubt based on the symptoms you describe) then do so, because you could always try the upgrade again later. However, if your Axim's are totally non-responsive then you will need to contact Dell for repair or replacement. Dell's techs probably would have ways of forcing a reload of the ROM using their own means. | |||

This happened to me on my first upgrade from A03 to A05. I flashed and everything seemed ok. Once the unit tried to reboot nothing happened. Power button, hard/soft reset did nothing. I called Dell and they send me a replacement unit the next day.
