PocketPC 2003 Calendar Question
I have had my X5 with PPC 2003 for about two weeks. I have noticed that when an appointment syncs with my Outlook 2002 it will offset some appointments by 1 hour. For instance, I had a meeting scheduled Monday at 9AM in Outlook but when I synced to Calendar it shows up at 10AM. I can move it to a different time and it is still offset an hour.
I checked the system clock on both the PC and X5 and they are both set for the same timezone (Central time)...any ideas? What good is a calendar that show the wrong time for appointments!?!

Check your settings within Outlook. Go to Tools/Options, then click on Calendar Options. Click Time Zone, then verify that it is set to Central as well.

I hadn't thought of that...I just checked and it is actually set to Central as well.
Any other thoughts? Is there a place to verify PPC's Calendar timezone seperate from the unit's timezone setting?

Well, you can try Tools/Options in ActiveSync. There is a checkbox that says "Synchronize Mobile Device Clock Upon Connecting". It seems like if that was checked (as it is on mine), your desktop and Pocket PC would always have the same time.

Checked that too...it has been checked.
I tried scheduling an appointment in PPC Calendar and syncing to Outlook to see if something similar happened and it bounced all my single appointments (not the reocurring ones) up an hour! What is going on!?!

Is it possible that it thinks you are in one of those funky US cities that doesn't observe daylight savings? That's really the only other thing I can think of...

Nope, I think those are only in Indiana and Arizona, but I appreciate the help...does Dell have a support website/number I could contact?
I don't think I bought any support but I've only had the thing a few weeks...hopefully they'll throw me a bone...

I'm not sure the correct number for you to call. They keep redirecting me to the Premier Support (because I'm a certified Dell tech...)

Check your Date/Time control panel on you desktop to be sure that "Automatically adjust clock for daylight saving changes" is checked. Notice that if you change this your time will change automatically to adjust.
