First off, I originally ordered in the time frame where we were supposed to get the free upgrade. Is it too late for me to get in on it?

Also:

1. Is handwriting recognition improved?
2. Was Pocket Outlook updated? I really need SSL support.

I don't know about the handwriting recognition or Outlook, as I have had no time to install my upgradeyet. But, I ordered mine last week and got it for free. Thus, I would assume it is not too late. You just have to find the right tech.

You will need to call in and discuss it with customer care, I did the same thing and received a credit for the upgrade.
