A note for those who are thinking of ordering...

Well I ordered my WM2003 upgrade for my Axim recently and they said that it might take up to 3-4 weeks!! So I was dissapointed but I ordered it anyway, well it came in yesterday.. and I ordered it 2 days ago. So sometimes the Dell Rep doesn't know everything... ;)

Lol, ok well recently I have been getting all of my calls diverted to a person proubally in India.. so yes they really might know something but not be able to communicate it to YOU! arg thats really annoying...

i ordered it on line today and the www site is telling me that there there are two parts to it. The first part will be shipped on Oct 15 and the second part on Nov 11. What are the two parts?

one part says: PPC2K3 UPGRADE KIT,ROY,ENG
and the other part says PPC2K3 UPGRADE KIT,ENG

Spoke to someone who has received their upgrade CD and they told me the same thing, one part is the actual upgrade to WM 2003, and the second is the upgrade for the ROM, of which I am still waiting for! Received mine in the beginning of July, Axim X5 Advanced (that is), and still waiting for the ROM upgrade to be in my mail box. Am not a "Real Happy Camper" with the less than fortuitous way that Dell has so far handled this one so far. Let me know if you get the upgrade, whether it actually works or not. At this moment am just "Still Waiting" for the ROM upgrade... Maybe one of these decades Dell will get the Lead Out Of Their Gas!! and Do something about it! ( Yeah Right Wishful Thinking On My Part)!! :D

I have bought 3 computers, my Ax and some upgrades from Dell and they have yet to meet their deadlines - they have always shipped early. I usually receive it before their shipping notification system tells me it has been shipped. :D

Sorry, im kind of a newbie here, but why does everyone want to upgrade to wm2003? What are its advantages, where to i get it and how much does it cost?
