Linksys CompactFlash Wireless woes

I just upgraded my Axim to MS Pocket PC 2003 and had no problems until I slipped in my trusty Linksys CompactFlash WCF12 wireless card. The Axim now no longer recognizes it, needing a revised driver that apparently does not exist. When I asked the Linksys tech how long it would be before we see one he said he didn't know. "Give me a ballpark idea," I said, "days, weeks or months?" Months, he offered, and suggested I unistall the software. I told him it would be simpler to just "uninstall" the Linksys card.

Anybody have any advice or any light to shed on this?

That beta sw is junk try this site

http://www.linden-computech.com/down...PCM_driver.htm

There is another you can use with your Linksys card if you can find it. You will need to find an Intersil Prism driver version 2 or higher for your Intersil chipset based Linksys card. Unfortunately, Intersil does not let you freely download this driver anymore. You will need to search the newsgroups and discussion forums like www.brighthand.com for information regarding driver updates. One of the forum threads posted this link ... http://www.linden-computech.com/down...CM_driver.htm. You might want to try this link. This should solve your Linksys problem.

Thanks, but the beta software seems to work fine--at least so far. I'll keep your suggestion in mind, though and will seek out the other site on GP.

I have the Windows Mobile 2003 Upgrade loaded and working, but I can't surf the web or pull my email down using the Linksys Beta driver. I have a connection and when I go into the WiFi Connection Panel, I see that it's connected. Any ideas, anyone?

BTW Lea, there is no application icon I believe on purpose, much like Windows XP and it Zero Configuration WiFi feture. I do believe I read that in an artical some where. Some manufatures will still ship applications though.
