Why isn't it gone on the 2003 upgrade

I got the upgrade done and I checked the two areas:

Version 4.20.1081 (Build 13100) and the ROM is A05.

But I still have all my stuff in the My Documents area.

Does this sound right?

If you set ActiveSync to sync your "Files", then it backed up your "My Documents" folder.

Well, the ROM is correct, but the Ax does a hard reset during the upgrade and your My Documents folder should have been cleaned. And, according to Dell's instructions, verified by those who did not read the instructions, you can't use the backup created by the previous OS (unless you are fortunate enough to use Pocket Backup Pro). You can only sync. Now, if, before the upgrade, the files in your "My Documents" folder were synced to your PC and you logged on as instructed, then they would have been synced back. Any possibility this scenario is what happened?

I'm not absolutely sure of this, but another possibility is if you put a My Documents folder on your built-in memory. It and any contents might still be there after the upgrade.

It is my understanding that the upgrade purges the built in memory at the last stage of the upgrade. Between the hard reset and writing the new rom all original contents in memory would be overwritten or deleted. I agree with earlier posts that the contents of the My Documents folder were added when he re-established his partnership.
