Hey, if anyone can help it would be great. I am a novice, so I kinda need some step by step. I dont even know if my settings are right, I've messed with this for hours and hours now !
I upgraded and its all in there for the 2003 version. I have comcast and set up my email account but when I try to send or receive, it says logging on for 2 to 3 minutes and finally it works. I can surf internet explorer. My email sometimes gives me an error that I dont have an account but other times it works. Sometimes it says looking for certificate which I have no idea about. It worked fine before on the old version, but now ???? maybe my settings are wrong ? my isp, my work, I connect to home or work ? do I have a wireless network? I thought this is all set up right but maybe I dont have it set up right - can anyone help - does this sound like a problem with the comcast logging on forever ? Thanks, I would really appreciate any help. AL ![]()

There are many reported problems with the True Mobile 1180 and the Windows Mobile 2003. Dell blaims Microsoft and Microsoft does not care.
Search this forum or have a look at the Dell forums. A lot of people experience similar problems. Seems we will have to wait for a new driver. If you can, return the card and get something else. Also try disableing Power saving (in the Dell Wireless client). This seems to help alot of people, but it turns it self on again after a few minutes. Also try connecting the Axim to power (using the adaptor directly and not the cradle). That has also solved some problems (but then you are not Wireless, are you )

Do you have WEP enabled? If not, try enabling it.
I also have a TM card and I thought performance was so so since I upgraded. I had disabled my WEP before upgrading thinking encryption was slowing down the connection... WRONG! I re-enabled it yesterday and man does it fly!!! Much faster than before (2k2 or 2k3). I don't know what it is about WM2003 but it seems made for WEP. Everything pops up instantly and I am about 75-100 feet away from my router. The fact that the card is always on power management doesn't even bother at all now. It's actually very good that it can perform so well AND use less power. I actually love my TM card now! Try it and let us know the results. FYI, I have 128 bit encryption. Skd

I forgot to mention that I too had problems connecting to my email accounts before enabling WEP. I no longer do with WEP on. Instant.
... had to re-post... can't edit on wireless site...

I don't have problems connecting to the internet or my email, but I do have trouble syncing wirelessly. I keep getting an error message saying "in order to connect to your network at work, you have to set up a VPN connection". Well...i'm not conencting at work. Everything looks right. (I just upgraded to 2003)
any suggestions? | ||||
