WM2003 A04 > A05 disk shipping in Australia

G'day,
Got the upgrade CD in the mail today to upgrade from A04 to A05.
All went well.
Much faster especially with ebooks and Colins dictionary.
I backed up all data onto my SD card using Axim backup program.
Just as well, because the upgrade program could not find the backup.stg file created minutes ago.
Other then that all is looking good sofar.

oh and I just noticed in your sig you have a Panasonic 512 SD card, where'd you get that from and how much?

Well I put a complaint to Dell about A04 in July. So I have waited for a while you could say but am glad I got it all installed now. Very happy with the performance now.

The 512Mb Panasonic card I purchased from Rexel North Ryde.
They deal in Panasonic. The price was.......$520.00 excluding GST
Lot of money but once you got it, it' great. Hasn't failed once.
I bought the Pnasonic card because of all the other dramas with SD cards. See http://freespace.virgin.net/jon.crawford/index.htm

The wifi is great too. I quite like my setup now.

I use lots of eBooks so the larger SD card comes handy

Just another aussie user confirming the arrival of my A04-A05 cd rom update in the mail on 14/10. After countless failed attempts at trying the upgrade with the file off the net, I'm pleased to say this time it worked perfectly first go. haven't had a chance to do any performance checks yet.

Haven't been using my axe too much since the A05 update. To be honest, I can't see major performance improvements so far. Some users claim only a few apps are better, like for example MS reader is meant to be much quicker to load, but I never use that. If there is anything that does seem more stable/faster, its the syncing via the docking bay. Although I only just updated ActiveSync recently too, so the improvements could be due, more to that than the ROM update. So at this point, I'm still wondering what all the fuss was about in the first place. ;-)
