I would like to be able to customize my "Programs" folder. I know how to navigate to the Start Menu folder and create all the sub-folders that I want, but I would like to beable to view those programs in those folders as a list or as small icons instead of the really large ones. (Similar to Windows or Palm OS) Does anyone know how to do this? Is there a program available? or a registry edit available?
I don't want a Today plugin I have seen plenty of those (Tdlaunch Claunch) and that is not what I am looking for. I want to be able to view my programs folder as small icons. Similar to what Pocket Launcher from Conduits does. I am currently experimenting with Pocket Launcher, but it takes a fair amount of memory to run the program. I would like to be able to just tweak my existing WM2003 device to my needs. Please help.
I would assume there is a registry item somewhere that I can edit to change the size of the icons in those folders.
Looks like Total Commander is a File Explorer similar to Resco File Explorer. What I want to do is change the way the icons in my "Start Menu>Programs Folder" are displayed when I click on the "Start Button>Programs" Right now I can only see 12 icons per window. I want a list. Ya know like when you are in a folder on your desktop pc and you click View>Tiles or Icons or List or Details or Thumbnails etc. I want to be able to have a list.
Thanks for the info.
Yes I have tried Small Menu and Program Menu. I like Small Menu, but I have a few little problems with it. First, is appearance. I don't like the plain white menus. I wish it would follow the theme of the unit. Second is something I don't think they could fix for me. I like being able to access both the Small menu and the start menu by pushing either the Windows picture or by pushing the word Start. However, with my leather case that I have, it makes it very difficult to get my thumb or finger tightly into the corner to push the Windows button to access the Small Menu.
I guess if they made it match the current theme, I would try to live with the fat finger problem, maybe?
I would rather have cascading start menu like tillanosofts. Except instead of clicking start in a new place it should be right where programs is, and then cascade and show all of your programs. Settings is fine the way it is, but programs should be cascading.

I was talking about this subject the other day w/Tancerman and someone else. We wanted to make the Program folder have folder options like in windows explorer where you can choose b/t icons and detailed list view. I'm shocked there's nothing out there.
I'm not surprised. It's not like the whole ms os is encoded into our tiny devices just waiting for an intrepid hacker to find the magic registry key that unlocks the power.
If you want someone elses progam to act exactly like you want you have to help the programmer program.

Hi guys, VJSmallIcons was just a quick test app. It's easy to toggle listview styles. Making it persistent is harder since the Programs program reapplies the default style every time you change folder. So you would require a resident program to hack the memory, or to reapply the style every time you change folder.
I'm thinking about updating some of my programs this weekend. I'll give it a go if I get a chance. However, Why the hell wouldn't you use SmallMenu, or Resco, or any other launcher?
