I've noticed after I upgraded to WM2003 whenever I turn the device on my display is dimmed. I've been just holding down the power button to brighten it, but it's starting to annoy me...after a couple weeks.

Anyone else have this problem?

I checked the brightness settings both battery and external battery are set to maximum brightness. I have no dimming after X minutes set either.

I also just realized that if I check the box 'light the display if a button is presseed or the screen is tapped' it will turn on at full-brightness, but it can be turned on pressing any of the four smaller buttons, which I'm not sure I like.

not seen this problem on my X3i, but it came with 2003 preinstalled. i would try reinstalling the upgrade on your PPC and see if that resolves it.
