Situation:
server with XP Pro is accesible remotely When accessing this server from a PC with Terminal Services client, the sound driver on the server-pc is disabled. I can circumvent this by choosing the option: "leave sound on remote PC". I have the same problem when accessing the server from my PPC (2003, Dell X5). For this Terminal services client, I do not have the option to leave the sound at the remote PC Any suggestions?

There is no sound option for that... you should try out third party software.. i not sure which one....But keep look out..... :P

Found the solution... (or actually: someone posted this solution on another forum
)From the management console (start > run > mmc) i added snap-in "local comp policy". In "administrative templates" there is "windows components" and that has "terminal services". Here you can manage everything you can think of regarding terminal service (logout if idle, max number of users, default working dirs). One of the settings is "allow audio redirection". Is disabled this and now I can connect with terminal services using my PPC w/o disabling the sound driver! Much faster than VNC!
