WM2003 Upgrade - Does it set your Axim back to scratch

I have been reading a bunch of stuff on the WM2003 upgrade and am confused about something. When I do the upgrade, does it reset my Axim back to scratch. What I mean is, I have programs such as Icbar, Resco Explorer, Battery Bar, etc - will these 'copy' over or will I need to reinstall them after the upgrade?

Thanks for your help.

All other programs will have to be reinstalled just like formatting and installing a new OS on your desktop computer.

I know it can be hassle especially after you get things like IcBar and Battery Bar setup the way u like things. Sorry....

Yes, that is what I thought would be the case. Oh well, just means a bit more pre-planning prior to the upgrade. Of course, this is assuming I ever get the upgrade CD!!

Thanks for the help,

Please be sure you follow the instructions to the letter. There are several threads on this site started by those who did not do so. Pay particular attention to the sync vs backup issue. One thing Dell doesn't tell you is that you can backup and restore using PocketBackup Pro. The normal AS backup cannot be restored. Also, if you have any databases, you will need to get a free download from M$ to convert these.
