Hello All! I recently upgraded to Win Mobile 2003 having had the cd for awhile. I was hoping to get all my existing software to work with the new op system. So far so good. Except I cannot get my connections right. I use the USB cradle and connect to the Internet through it. I cannot get this PDA to see the Internet. I have set Active Synch to Pass Through like I did before and the box with allow Ethernet and RAS server connections is checked. Active synch works fine with everything else. Avantgo, PEPID and ePocrates are able to synch and update. Help!
Thanks, Jessie Collins

After some indepth investigation I found that Microsoft has taken the ability to Pass-Through to the Internet away from Active Synch for Win Mobile 2003. What this means is you cannot use Omegaone's Journal Bar or any such software that connects directly to the Internet while in the cradle. Even PIE! Unless you have a separate Network card or Wi-FI card or modem connected to your Axim! I surmise they did this because of Wi-Fi connectivity. Anyway , I can't use the lovely Journal Bar anymore as I only connect through the Cradle and Active Synch! Argh!!!!
Anyone with a work-a-round would be greatly appreciated!

I don't think this is accurate. I (and many others) are able to use JB and IE without connecting directly to the Internet. There are two reasons (that I can think of) you may not be able to access the internet to use JB or IE through active sync (i.e. your cradle):
1) You are trying to connect through a network that uses a proxy server to connect to the internet - can fix this 2) Some other setting is incorrect . You have to ensure that you choose the proper setting for how you are connecting to the Internet through a computer I'll tell ya, though, freakin' JB has given me nothing but trouble since I bought it. I heard that earlier versions are much more stable (e.g., 1.4xx)
