We are trying to hook an external modem to a HP iPaq h5555. The PDA seems to be sending out a reset (atz) as it's initial command to start the connection process. The modem that we are using is not able to respond properly to the reset for misc. reasons, so we need to be able to change the process for connection and take out the reset in the connection process. We are using the unimodem.dll driver and we have tried editing the reset command in "Settings" key in the registry under unimodem, and that did not work. It is strange that it sends out a reset first because all of the other desktop Windows OSes do not seem to send out a reset first, by default.
