Lost .ris backup file... how to go back to 2002?

Hi everyone,

i've lost my .ris backup file to a hard drive format... and I need to revert back to PPC 2002.

I've tried using the ROMs available on Dell's support site but they don't work (never gone beyond the setup stage).

What can I do other then sending the unit back to Dell? It's already out of warranty by a week or two.

At my wits end, help?

Even if you were to send the unit back to Dell I doubt they'd be able to do anything for you, from what I've heard Dell simply won't 'downgrade' Axims upgraded to WM2003 (probably both because of the cost and because of the licensing issues involved in performing such a downgrade).

Without a .ris file the official position is that you are pretty much stuck with WM2003. Of course, if you have a friend who also performed the upgrade you could ask him/her for some help. Is there a specific issue you are having with WM2003?

You could try a *.img file from a03 update, this is only a theory, it sould work, but tray ti on your OWN risk.
