Question Inbox Help

Here is the deal. I have the x3i and I have a wireless conection. I set up a new email account with my broadband company for my ppc. It is pop3 incoming mail and smtp outgoing mail. I belive this is where the problem resides. The outgoing and incoming mail servers are both the same (mail.insightbb.com). I can recieve messages, but everytime i try to send a message it comes back with an error stating messages cannot be sent, check your wireless settings. Anyone have any ideas? Or have this problem too?

Thanks a lot!

Sounds like you've not selected the "Server auuthentication" option as noted on your ISPs website as a requirement for remote mail access:

My server requires authentication: (make sure it's checked)

Pocet Inbox email account setup 4/4 option 2/3

On the 4th page of the E-mail Setup is an 'Options' button - tap on it and Next your way to the 2nd page of the Options. There is a check box 'Outgoing e-mail server ..." Try checking that.

If that doesn't work, try entering the IP number (63.240.76.151) instead of the domain name for the mail server.

hm....

Ok, If I check either "outgoing email server requires authentication" or "requires SSL connection" either one or both at the same time, I get 2 errors. Wont send or recieve. I saw that my ISP sugguested i use that, but there is no where for me to set up the parameters. Any more sugguestions. I tried the ip address that didnt work, i am not sure what the domain is.

Thanks....

Bingo!

I was surfing through a few of thier help pages and saw where it said you couldn't simply put your user name name you had to put username@insightbb.com instead. Works now. Thanks a lot for the quick replies!

PS The X3i Rocks!

I don't know if anyone is following this thread as it's a few months old but thanks to KPDUTY for the very clear instructions. I have been trying to solve this problem for months now.
