urg icbar problems

ok just installed wm2k3, icbar worked fine, until for some reason, the original bar took back control of the "x" button, so my top bar is icbar except for the last button which is the wrong exit that doesnt even exit

how do i get my icbar back, ive tried everything, and ever since this happened, it has been popping up a message every 5 seconds about it not detecting a network card, very annoying, someone help me please i already soft reseted, it just goes back to the original menu bar, and when i reapply icbar, the original one takes over again...what do i do???

I would suggest you uninstall and then reinstall ICBar. It is certainly not an issue I have had so I suspect something corrupted a file or two, or a registry entry.

Uninstall ICBar > do a backup > Hard Reset > Restore > Reinstall ICBar.

Have you actually looked at the settings in icbar? Tap the down arrow next to the close icon, select settings, use the dropdown list to select 'Close' and make the settings how you want them.

ok so i figured, as my last option, i would ditch my trusty icbar and try wisbar, but the same problem happens here! the extreme top right of the screen keeps the stupid regular ms close button, I AM SCREWED!!!

I had the same issue, but it went away. I can't say specifically what fixed it because I was playing around a lot with it at that time. But I know I didn't do a hard reset (but a lot of soft ones). In any event, maybe you can try skinning your taskbar. I'm pretty sure that when my problem went away, I was playing around with taskbar skins.

Hope this can help.

mpbasher, I'm having the same problems you're experiencing, except mine started with the older version of wisbar and transferred to the new version and icbar. When I tap on a tasks to show what's running I have to tap somewhere on the screen to get it to minimize (vs. tapping the top taskbar as before). Half the time it locks everything up and I have to do a soft reset, go through the same thing again. I can't believe I'm back to using Switcher Bar.

Any more ideas for us bar-flies?
