I've got an X5 Adv WM2003, and I tested it with a new appt only. In sounds & nofications, I've got Reminders set up to play the sound, repeat, and display message on screen. I removed the "flash light for" setting, because it interfered with the full wake up.

It didn't work on a StopTime reminder since I had one that did not alarm. However an appointment did alarm. Investigating with what alarms did show up, I found that unless the event showed in the WM2003 database, it will never alarm. I checked this by running Check Notifications and it wasn't there. I had to increment the time in StopTime by a minute and decrement back. Running Check Notifications again, this event showed up. I know this will wake me up tomorrow morning. What a nasty bug!

Microsoft KB says they acknowledge the problem [Microsoft Knowledge Base Article - 830768 ].

Anybody else figure this out?
