This is a bug in WM2003 and doing a hard reset won't really help. There are several thread on this site that discuss this and possible fixes. The issue is believe to be a timeout issue when the OS does its cleanup at night. There are some workaround fixes available that can help with the notification issue in WM2003. Burr Oak software offers a free tweak called WakeupTweak that changes the default Wakeup timeout set in the registry to help with the alarms/notifications problem in WM2003.

WakeupTweak

I am not sure if I am having the same prob. I dont really use the Outlook calendar (on the PC), but occasionaly there are times that I would like to set a time and date in the Pocket Pc with the intention that it will beep to remind me of that appointment. It doesn't, and I don't know how to make it do so. Is this the bug you are talking about, and if not, can you help me do this? My old Palm worked really easily at this task.
Thanks

Yes, this is the bug that I was talking about. The problem doesn't happen all the time but enough to be annoying. I would look into some of the PPC tweaks available to help fix this issue. The link to one of them is in my earlier post.

I'm glad to hear that others are having trouble with the reminders, alarms, etc. on there axim. I have already downloaded and installed the wakup tweak and it still won't wake up to alarm.

I have even downloaded "trial" alarm programs in hope they will work for me and they won't alarm either.

Any suggestions would be appreciated on this end.

Interestingly I called Dell tech support, and he said he simply did not know how to fix the problem!
He suggested entering the info on Outlook, but I dont think that will help.

I had this prblem with my x5 running PPC2002, when I upgraded to WM2003 it was solved. Now I have changed to x3i running WM2003 and I have the same problem - confused, I certainly am? I'll try 'tweak' and let you know if it makes a difference, although I have tested setting a reminder same day and it seems to work which would seem to bear out Whitelyt's remarks.

Unfortunately didn't work for me. Thosethat have got it to work - did it work on existing tasks/appointments or just new ones??

Anyone else with any ideas? also those that got it to work, are you using x5 or x3 although I cant see that that should make any difference.
