MSN Messenger & Windows Mobile 2003

Hi,

I just upgraded to WM 2003 on my Axim and when I run MSN Messenger Iget this message: "Logon to MSN Messenger Service failed because the service is not compatible with this version of the program". Number one, I'm shocked the the version of MSN messenger included with my upgrade to WM 2003 is already out of date but, that aside, I can't seem to find any information on how to upgrade MSN Messenger so that it will work.

Can anyone shed light on this for me?

Thank you for any help you can provide,
-Neil K.

Follow-up

BTW, I downloaded the update to MS Messenger for WM 2003, but when I run it on my XP workstation, which is connected to my Axim, I get an error that says it can't find pre-installed MSN Messenger software to upgrade (on my desktop - as it never tries to communicate to my PPC).

If this is my solution, then I seem to have a problem with the solution.

RT Update

Well, I guess i posted too soon.

For some reason, when I ran the update to Windows Messaenger the first time, it seemed to think that I had already installed this update, so I was only presented with "Modify", "Repair", and "Remove". When I chose either "Modify" or "Repair" I was getting errors. Tonight I choose "Remove" and then, when it was finished, I ran the utility again and this time it acted normally and eveything installed and is working.

Thanks anyway :)

On my new X3 I am getting the same error message from MS Messenger. I couldn't find any update for WM2003. Where did you get it?

I upgraded mine a couple of hours ago. No problem. Just downloaded the patch, connected via AS, installed it and bingo. In fact I wasn't sure that it had actually worked, it was THAT seamless. I was expecting a mess since there always seem to be so many horror stories. I then logged in via MSN from the PPC and bingo. All worked.
