Pocket Outlook - synching

I am able to download new e-mail from my newtorked pc w/Outlook, but when I compose with Pocket Outlook on my Axim x3 the messages get stuck in the Drafts or outbox. What settings do I have incorrect. I am using people's names in the To: and CC: boxes in Pocket outlook. With my networked Pc's Outlook all I need to do is type in the name of the recipient and it finds them in a global e-mail directory. This doesn't seem to be happening with messages composed through Pocket PC. What is the solution or work-around?

Thanks in advance,
Paul

Yes, I don't think the Pocket version resolves the names. The easiest work around that I've found is to tap on the "To:" next to the fill-in box. This will open your contact list and you can tap on the person's name to fill in the address. Tapping on the subject field will close your contacts list and take you back to the message.

I have a network address book that IT updates periodically. If I add it to my synched contacts, can I specify the frequency that it synchs for that list? It is a huge corporate directory and I don't want to have so much time spent re-synching an addressbook each time I dock. I gues the alternative is to create individual contacts in my contacts for every individual I think I may ever e-mail and thereby not even use the network addressbook - seems like a big workaround. Any third party solutions to this out there?

I agree, that makes it a bit problematic. I'm not sure if any of the add-on PIM aps will do the syncing periodically or not. You can, of course, do it manually by keeping the 'sync contacts' box on ActiveSync on your work PC unchecked most of the time and just check it periodically when you want to update the list. However, it sounds like it's going to take up more space on your Axim than you might prefer.
