MS Outlook acting up

I just developed 2 problems with Outlook Calander and Inbox and was wondering if anyone else has run into this.
when I enter a new appointment,two duplicate entries are made and the notes are not saved.
Also, when I recieve new mail, all the old mail in the inboX is deleted,
Ian using an X5 with WM 2003 and an Ambicom Wifi card.
