Axim X5 upgrade questions
Hello,

A question from a newby...

I have an Axim5 PXA250 (A03 upgraded ROM version) with Microsoft Pocket PC version 3.0.11171 (built 11178).

What kind of version of PPC is that? 2002? 2001 if it existed?
No doubt, it is not 2003...

What kind of upgrade would you recommend?

Many thanks

Michel

It's Pocket PC 2002. As I understand it, the Dell upgrade CD is only being offered for a short time longer, so if you want to upgrade to Windows Mobile 2003, you probably should act quickly.

Personally, I never bothered uipgrading my X5 to WM03 although they would be an improvement in the connection speed with PIE. If you have the X5 advanced (400MHz), you could upgrade with ROM A04 but otherwise, A03 is the last available for the X5 basic (300MHz).
