my active sync..doesnt like to sync...
I have it set up to sync calender, notes, tasks, and contacts. If i have something on the device that needs to be synced to the computer it will say (or vice versa) "1 Item not synced" and then i will have to either right click and hit sync or click the sync button again. why does this keep happening. I searched the boards with multiple different phrases but couldnt seem to find someone having the same problem as me

Earlier I was having a diffrent sync problem. An Eliet user ( I cant remember his name) advised me to explor Pocket PC/windows search for and remove a file named PicViewSync.dll
It worked for me.
This may be the link. I am a newbie, sorry.

Again, my sync problems were diffrent, but who knows. Look up mu thread where I mispelled sync synk.
Good Luck

jcwolves, Snow is having a different problem and it is unlikely that it is associated with the Resco file.
Snow, does the file sync after your resync? You might check Chris De Herrera's Identifying Unresolved Items page to see if you can figure out what the culprit is.

i don't think its an unresolved item, it just says "1 item not synced"

the only way i can get it to work is to have activesync set on continous and then it will do it on its own (two tries but on its own none the less)

Snow,
Let me see if I understand. You get home or to the office, where ever you need to Sync, and place the device in the cradle. It runs thru the "looking for changes bit than lists possibly a few items sync'd and a few that say "x items unresolved". If it instantly runs from there to "Synronizing" and everything works out with out further input from you, than that sounds NORMAL. At least it describes mine.

ok heres what happens, i use my axim all day and then i get home turn on my computer put it in the cradle and in active sync it will be a yellow (mustard colored arrows) and under the things that need to be synced for example: Under info type Notes and under status: 4 Items not synchornized. Then i hit sync again and the items sync. So in conclusion it needs my further input to hit the sync button when i have the sync type running on manual. I hope i have been clear enough :)

I had this problem when I was using another program on the desktop besides Activesync that communicated with the Axim. I never figured out why it happened but I guess it was a conflict between Activesync and the other program.

But you may have some other program that messes around your files somehow, e.g. you may have two different versions of Outlook or whatever. Just guessing.
