A while back I read some posts about a bug in 2003 that suposedly adds a bunch of files to the warning registry or something like that, which eventually slows done the handheld. I downloaded the two ScaryBear programs and thats about it, end of story. What I'm wondering is if this whole thing was true and how many people are using these kinds of programs. Has Dell (or Microsoft) released a patch that fixes the bug?

I had the zillions-of-notifications problem, and I downloaded a program (don't know if it was from scarybear) that "fixes" it. Yes, it is real, and no, as far as I know there is no fix ... yet (he said hopefully).

I've also notice that SEVERAL of the programs I'm running delete the extra notifications. Can overlapping deletion programs cause problems?
