It is my understanding that software developed for WM2003 should run without any difficulties under WM2003SE, except (maybe)when in landscape mode. However, I just read in this thread that there may be problems with Icbar. Could others please post any problems with other software?
I don't have complete use of icbar but it doesn't sound as bad as the poster's problem. I can't access any of the settings. Also, I made the mistake of installing skype thinking it would work even better on a faster machine. I forgot about the OS. It didn't work and after uninstalling it I got a notification that a skype program can't start. I ended up just reinstalling to get rid of the silly thing. I'm not installing everything I had on the X5 yet so I don't know about other standard programs not working.
I don't know if anyone else uses gotomypc to access another computer but it doesn't seem to work either. The all important menu bar is DOA. I was really looking forward to using it with the landscape view.
Looks like a lot of people are having problems with installing some programs that used to work on Windows Mobile 2003 but not Windows Mobile 2003 SE...
Can people post their findings so far? I'm more concerned about programs that do not even work in the "normal" portrait mode.
Good thing is FPSCE works. Just got done running Destruction Derby and it ran so much smoother. Was around 18FPS running at 400Mhz on X3i and now at 624mhz on my X30High it gets between 29-31FPS :)
BTW, for those who don't know, FPSCE is a PSX emulator.
I sure hope so, I'm really worried about this whole GAPI/GETRAWFRAMEBUFFER issue in WM2003SE that everyone keeps bitching about. That, and the rumored garbage d-pad are the only things preventing me from ordering right now.
