i was wondering, does anybody know if dell is planning on upgrading us for free to the second edition? I would love to know. I am already dissapointed in the performance of my x3i, and i have contacter dell to return it, but i have got no reply...

I hate to say it, but if you're really unhappy with the x3i (and I have no idea why, I love mine and I'm not exactly a novice user), I highly doubt WM2003SE is going to make you go dance down your street or anything.

I really don't think SE will be enough to satisfy your disapoinment over the X3i's performance.

The ONLY thing I'm looking forward to in SE is the landscape mode for better web browsing. Having said that, if landscape in SE looks as crappy as it does with Nydiot, I won't bother upgrading.

I doubt it'll look as bad as Nyditot's version, simply because the landscape mode will truly be at the OS level, as opposed to a simple 'hack'.

When will WM2003SE be avaliable to everyone? Can you get it directly from Microsoft's website or through Dell? Just curious.

It will be from Dell directly, tailored for your Axim model. As to when, your guess is as good as anyone else's. Dell is tightlipped for the time being..

I wouldn't be too anxious to jump on an update. Dell took a big hit last summer with the Windows Mobile 2003 release. It might be best to sit back and wait til the kinks get worked out.
