Requirements for WM2003 Upgrade?
Hi all

Does anyone know where to find requirements for a WM2003 upgrade (from PPC2002)? It seems like a simple thing to find, but I cannot find anything on Dell's site or Microsoft's site that says one needs x amount of RAM, y kind of processor, or z amount of disk space.

I looked also in Aximsite's threads using "upgrade requirements" as a search term, but nothing relevant.

I specifically would like to know: what is the ROM requirement (A02, 03, 04, 05???) and which machines CAN'T do it?

Thanks in advance,
Rich

rvdparis, I don't have the answer to the question you ask. However, I have the same Axim 5 Basic as the one in your signature and mine runs great on WM 2003. I just installed it right over the top of PPC 2002 without a single hitch. Couldn't be happier with the choice.

Thanks C3PO
I think that I will try the upgrade. I only rememberd that I saw somewhere that there may be issues with the ROM version. But I don't think I need to worry about that.
take care

if you get the cd from dell you dont have to worry about requirements, it is made for the Axims and so supports all of them. You shouldnt have to worry about a decrease in memory too much either
