actually Laridian is very expensive. e-sword.net offers a very good alternative that is completely free

Expensive??? I think you might be misled or read something wrong.
Laridian Pocket Bible program is only 10 bucks and then there are like 20 free references (bibles) sure if you are needing specialized stuff or 5 bibles and other refereces it will add up but e-swords ppc offering slowed my ppc down so horribly bad it wasn't worth the being free.
Go out and see what the paper versions of these titles and dictionaries will cost you.

I own both programs and find e-sword soooo much better. It's a pain to switch books with Laridian bible. E-sword does take a long time to load - but it is quick once loaded. I have not notice it slowing down my PDA. I think that e-swords interface is much eaiser to use.

Also I also find Laridian expensive. $10 is not much for the program, but all the reference material adds up.

e-Sword is having problems with SE also, all functions still work as I remember, but the menu at the bottom is messed up graphically.

Does anyone know if e-Sword has the NIV version? I didn't see it offered on their website. Maybe it goes by a different name?
