syncing outlook calendar with PDA
i am very new to PDAs. i really do not know if this is possible. how would i go about beign able to enter my appointments in Outlook 2003, and then syncing these with my Axim X30 with ppc 2003se. can it be done? in active sync there is no box next to my "calendar" button which would allow me to cselect it. do i need to restart my computer, sicne i just installed outlook? thanks for any help

Just so we are clear...
you are running Outlook 2003 (not Outlook Express), and in ActiveSync, when you click 'Options', there is not checkbox next to Calendar in the list of folders to synch.

If this is right, i would go into Outlook, Help, Detect and Repair. then, if that doesnt help, reinstall Activesync (get the latest version 3.7.1)

Had the same problem with Outlook 2003 and as cwsmith68 said, it started to sync once i installed Outlook prior to ActiveSync.

Jeff, This is very simple. In outlook create your contact list(s). Then when you open activsync make sure that the icon for the contacts is present. When you put the AX in the cradle it will recognize the contacts and indicate that you have not synced them yet. Just hit sync or highligt contac icon (in activesync) and right click and sync. Good luck
