Synching My X5 With WIFI

Hi there,

I was hoping someone could assist me as just getting more and more frustrated.

I had synching via WIFI working 100% until my Norton Internet Security crashed and I lost all my rules/settings (now I see the importance of backing up even these).

Anyway, I am unsure of which step I'm missing but I have told my Norton Firewall to allow ActiveSync to let any ports through and also opened ports 990, 999, 5678 and 5679.

I can not remember if it makes a difference if I'm using a wireless router or not but I can not see any changes in my configuration that resemble anything for synching wirelessly.

FYI, I am running ActiveSync 3.7.1 and Norton Internet Security Pro 2004 with a Linksys BEFW11S4 802.11B Wireless Router.

Any help is appreciated.

RGDS & TIA

This is from the WiFi tutorial troubleshooting but was pulled verbatum from a post here at AximSite:

CaminDFW has had success with Norton Internet Security using the following:
Open NIS.
Select Personal Firewall.
Click the “configure” button to the right.
Select the “Home Networking” tab.
Click the “Wizard Button” then “Next”
I just notice these instructions seem to end rather abruptly but I assume it makes sense when you follow the steps.
