Changes in our ROM, pushing property lines.

I feel like I woke up this morning and my neighbor had moved the fence over night taking up more of my yard as his.

In Windows Mobile SE we apparently no longer have MS Reader for eBooks, which isn't a big deal except that now if we want a reader we have to install one in our own valuable real estate (memory, or storage if we are lucky).

Now, I find out that .Net Compact Framework is not installed by default in the ROM, you have to install it yourself and it must go in Main Memory. Over 2 MB. I have already run into to programs that have told me they can not run without the framework and with my axim X3i I never had to install it.

So... what other things can people confirm have changed about our OS Rom?

You can install MS reader in the ROM area if you want.

As far as I know the Compact Framework is in ROM in SE. I just did a quick check of my X30 and found cgacutil.exe which is a Framework component.

Maybe it is a partial install? I had to install it to get the 2 programs working. Once I installed they worked with no problem.

Which ROM version are you running. I'm still on A00 as I it works well enough and I don't feel like stripping out and reinstalling everything (yet!)
