Question Fields hidden in landscape mode

Wanted to notify everyone about a problem with a product called PDA Defense and Windows Mobile 2003 Second Edition. I had my Pocket PC set to right-hand landscape mode and then the software wanted me to reset my password. However, the confirm password button was hidden beneath the keyboard so I couldn’t get to it! I could not put my PPC into portrait mode, because it was locked up until I reset the password. I tried to minimize the keyboard, but could not do that either. Could not “tab” to the Confirm Password field or anything. Finally had to hard-reset it.

This was a problem with PDA Defense and not the native password function.

Has anyone else had a problem with fields be hidden under something in landscape mode and you could not get to it?

I hope you had a backup... I know I've spent a good deal of time getting my Ax 'just so' only to lose it to a hard-reset.

Not that it is a whole lot of help now, but probably have just hit Enter on the keyboard or used Tab to move the focus to the (hidden) button and then tapped Enter.

I'd say "bad app design", but most apps were designed before landscape mode existed. Something worth keeping in mind when trying new apps.

Yes, I did backup, thankfully! I'm still need to reload this software, I'll just have to remember to put my screen in portrait mode before doing the password reset.

Well if that happens hit the reset button and power at the same time. When it asks if you want to do a hard reset hit the no key and it comes up with the program no longer running. I do that when mine freezes or i have problems like that. Works for me.

Good idea..I wish I'd known that back when I tried Nyditot and had the startup password on and part of the screen was missing and I couldn't log on

When doing a Find in Acrobat Reader in Landscape mode, the text field for the search term is hidden. I could enter text, but couldn't see what I was entering. Unfortunately, I have to be in landscape !before! starting Acrobat if that's the view I need, as it doesn't appear to support live switching. Just gotta work on my spelling... Any solutions?
