Hi Did Mcrosoft create a theme generator for windows mobile 2003 SE ? I have the theme generator 2002 on my pc which creates themes o.k but it will not let me export them to my X30.

Thanks for your time.

They do work perfectly, albeit a bit limited specially choosing different color for the text...

And, yup instead of automatically letting the program copy it to your PPC, do it manually and it'll work okay.

There is a free SE extended theme generator for sbp pocket plus (which is not free). I have used that with great success although you will still need to copy the generated theme over by hand.

You will also have to search for tdywater.gif & stwater.gif as SPB extended theme generator doesn't look in the TEMP folder for them.

I made a new tdywater image and used that as per the directions for the extended theme generator. I used a nice cape code "waves hitting beach" image I took with my camera and lightened it for background use. I never had to find a stwater.gif.

You do have to fiddle with the image a bit since knowing which parts of the image will show up in landscape vs portrait mode required some trial and error. I also found that I needed to copy some files off the PDA to make use of some of the icons and indicators from included themes that were not in the theme generator.

It definitely takes some fussy work to get it all right.

Regards,

Artuk

If you are refering to the .gif files they are the graphics that the theme generator uses for the background and menus and as such anyone sending theirs would only produce the theme that they have designed.

In Windows XP you can usually find them @
C:\DOCUMENTS AND SETTINGS\%USERNAME%\LOCAL SETTINGS\TEMP\
