Active-sync internet pass-through
Has anyone had success figuring out how to set up an internet pass-through connection on WM2003? I have an X5 and Active-sync 3.7.1. In Active-sync, I went to "Options > Rules > Pass Through" and set "Connection" to "The Internet". However, whenever I try to open PIE and browse to a website, it just gives me an error that the "Page you are looking for cannot be found."
My desktop is running Windows XP Pro SP1 and we have a proxy set up. Doesn't PIE use the desktop's proxy settings? I tried configuring the same proxy on the X5, but that didn't work either. Please help! Peace, Greg | ||||||

I'm able to connect via Passthrough our proxy server. However, I am prompted for my domain credentials. It uses the proxy information that you've entered in yoru Axim's network settings, so if you haven't done so, enter your proxy there. If it doesn't take with your proxy's name, enter its IP address. It should work. Start - settings- connections tab - connections - tap "Set up my Proxy server" - Check both boxes and enter the name and port of your Proxy server. Then OK out to the main screen.

Thanks wooch. Unfortunately, it still doesn't work. I would expect it to ask me for my domain credentials if I was actually connecting to the proxy, but it doesn't. I specified the IP address and port... even the name of the pac file on the proxy, but still no luck. I tried all the configurations I could think of.
