First time poster, but I've been reading this site more than I've been getting work done since my precious Axim X30 arrived in my hands about 2 weeks ago.

I had some SERIOUS woes with AgileMessenger on WM2003SE in portrait mode. I know a couple people previously stated that they had no problems except in landscape mode, but I noticed something VERY annoying in portrait mode.

Whenever I had AgileMessenger active on the Today screen it did weird things when other screens/menus popped up. I noticed it first and most prominently on the Bluetooth Settings screen. The tabs across the bottom of the screen were covered up by a grey bar, and the date that is usually displayed across the top of the Today screen exhibited "Always on Top" type properties. Also it would not always display the online contacts and waiting messages, it would just a blank line. Tapping anywhere within the blank area where Agile SHOULD be resulted in it correctly loading Agile's client.

I found that removing Agile from the Today screen solves this issue, but I am unsure if anyone else has had this issue or if there is a beter solution. I should also mention that I did try soft-resetting after installs and what not to be sure there were no issues there. I also removed the only other "non-factory" today item I had, which was PocketWeater, to ensure no conflicts there. The behavior is consistent in indiciating that it is an AgileMessenger problem. I tried a couple other messengers, but they either are not an all-in-one (which is a MUST have) or they want me to pay $30 or so for them. I tried IM+ 3.08, it's alright, but functions nearly exactly like Agile and they charge for it. Not sure if it's worth the price difference. Free == Good.

I had similar problems with it messing things up on the Today screen, and it also never displayed my online contacts, only offline contacts. Unfortunately, I have no solution to offer...I did a hard reset because it was only my Axim's second day after emerging from the box, and I didn't really have anything on there that I needed to save.

same here. agile showed offline contacts only. nothing more. so i did a hard reset too. i backed before though.

agile messenger :

I've got AgileMessenger working perfectly now. I just had to remove it from the Today screen. Now I've got no issues with it and it works great. Hope they do an update for WM2k3SE.

Hmm... acted a little funky for me too but I installed like 15 apps my first day I didn't know what it was... thanks I just removed it from today screen... seems better.
