Card Export II

Long time Palm user - soon to be Dell X50's newbie...
Now for a question: Does CardExport II (or similar app) exist for WM?
CE II is an app which enables a palm powered device to be read as a portable drive on PC. I like this app because I don't have to carry the card reader with me at all times.
/ edit: just a small correction: the app enables the SD CARD to be seen as a removable drive, not the WHOLE device../
Thanks for any reply

As long as ActiveSync is installed on the PC you can browse the device through explorer. including the memory cards.

Ummm as far as I know, you don't unless they have ActiveSync also. But then again I'm pretty much a newbie considering I've only have my Axim for a little while.

You do have to install ActiveSync, but you can connect as a guest..

I read about that for the palm on Brighthand.. nifty program. I guess the T5 is going to have an even cooler version that let you see a portion of its huge ram footprint as a portable drive.

As far as I know, there is no way to "spoof" a PC into thinking your PPC is a portable USB drive the way palms do.. and installing active synch on someone's computer without a PDA hasnt been viable gor me most of the time.

Regards,

Artuk

Even a regular card reader usually needs to have a driver installed most of the time.... XP might not require it, Mac as well I suppose.

It would be worth while plugging a PPC into a PC running XP or into a Mac and see what happens...

This is the answer I got from Softick (CE II) :
Dear user,

We are planning to implement such solution for PPC handhelds but I
can't promise any concrete release date.
