Internet Explorer Problems/Alternatives
So, I'm having some problems with my IE on my X30i High with WM2003SE...
The problems is in connecting to the internet. My wireless is connected but IE just keeps popping up "The page your looking for cannot be found." Even though I know quite well that it CAN be found...for I was on it only moments ago...and I'm talking simple pages here like www.goole.com/pda...should be able to find that! May be related to 1) recently used the wireless at a hotel that had a blocked gateway that required a code to access the internet...jammed up my system, 2) I did a real thorough search and destroy on any temporary internet files to get rid of residual crap from this hotel block, 3) recently installed WisBar (which I really like, but seems to be messing up my system). So, what I'd like to do is re-install IE and see if that helps...can this be done (without a hard reset)? Also, does anyone know of any alternatives to IE that could be used? And if so, can you uninstall IE? Seems like you can't, it's built right into the OS. Alright, thanks for any help you can offer. Merlin Portland, OR

There are numerous forum threads covering possibly-relevant techiques of getting your connection working. Try a search. There is also extensive documentation courtesy ikehiker, linked I think from the Aximsite homepage.
And no, you cannot remove nor re-install Pocket IE. It's in ROM. Sometimes tapping welcome.exe in the \Windows folder and following the few steps after that can help. FtxPBrowser and NetFront are useful, but it sounds unlikely that your problem is in your browser.

Reply to Gerard
Thanks for your response. I'll try the tips you've mentioned. However, I do believe the problem is with the browser. For I do show that I have a strong signal and am connected to my wireless network. No problem with network settings or any of that. I can even refresh my AvantGo content...
I just can't get IE to "GO" to any other website...weird... Thanks, Merlin

Fixed it!!!
Thank you both for the comments...the problem is now solved!
The solution...like Gerard said...tapping welcome.exe under the \windows folder... Going through the setup process somehow fixed the problem. Though I had done a number of resets, turning wireless on/off repeatedly, checking my settings...welcome.exe solved the problem. Thank you both for the help, Merlin
