Conflict Resolution in AS 3.7.1

Our campus Exchange Server took a dump this weekend and a week of email and calendar items were lost on several user's computers. When trying to sync, ActiveSync does not recognize the missing appointment on the server as a conflict and deletes the appointment on the PDA. Any way around this? I can reproduce the problem by creating an appointment in my calendar, synch-ing, removing the pda from the cradle, deleting the appointment on the server and then re-syncing the device. Suggestions?

Thanks,

Frequent backups would help. You come to work after a happy weekend and your appointment s are gone. Restoring your backup restores the appointments in outlook.

I believe there is a setting in ActiveSync to set how synchronization is handled. You need to set it to have the PPC over-write what is on the server. Change the setting, sync, and then put the setting back.
