I'm having a problem. I can browse my Axim X50 mid with windows explorer on my laptop, but not on my desktop. These two machines setups are nearly identical, same av and firewall settings. Thought this might be a common enough problem that someone here might know what is going on, or at least point me in the right direction. Thanks.

Welcome to Aximsite Stewart! I've used Windows 98SE Windows 2000, Windows 2000 Professional and Windows XP MediaCenter Operating Systems and have always been able to browse to my devices. A new icon called Mobile Device was created on all of them. Since Your desktop's windows explorer doesn't see it have you tried the explore function in Activesync?

I'm running XP Pro SP2 with ms firewall turned off and f-secure firewall on, this is true for both laptop and desktop. I do have the mobile device icon, but when I try to browse it on my desktop the folder is empty, but on my laptop it contains the contents of my axim. Sorry for not including that info in my first post. Explore function also brings up a blank window on my desktop but a window with contents of my axim on my laptop.
