syncing birthdays from contacts to calender?
As the title says, is there a way to sync the birthdays/anniversaries from your contacts list to say the calender? Everyday I have the calender open up and it'd be much easier keeping track of those important dates if when I entered the date in the contact it auto adds/shows up in the calender as well.

The synching of contacts and calendar seems to happen automatically for me, and in fact, for some reason I even end up with up to 3 or 4 entries for each birthday in my Outlook calendar. I could not narrow down exactly how/when this happens although it may be linked to the occasional hard resets on my Axim that I perform regularly to keep the system slim & tender.
If anything, I would appreciate an option to disable this "feature" or only do it manually since these automated smart-ass synchs behind-the-scenes really mess up everything in my case.

strange...i just tried to add a birthday to a contact and i do not see it in the calender on pocketpc.
I also have gotten the same problem as you but that happens when i manually enter in appointments. I usually see 2 entries or so for the same appointment.

If you add birthday on ppc it will modify contact. Now sync with Outlook through ActiveSync. Outlook will create calendar item for added birthday. After that this item will be added to your PPC calendar through ActiveSync.
After that be careful. Because if for some reason ActiveSync will fail to match those items you will get duplicates
