Best and most stable operating system

Does anyone have any ideas about what the best operating system
is for the X5 and what the latest version is?

Thanks.

The only simple OS to use on the X5 is the one it ships with, Windows Mobile 2003. It takes a lot of work to use linux, but I believe that it is at least partially possible. The newest OS is Windows Mobile 2003 Second Edition, but there is no upgrade for the X5. The provided OS works well so I don't see any reason you would want to change.

My X5 shipped with WM2002 and I upgraded it to WM2003.

Of the two I'd have to say that WM2002 was the most stable, and therefore the best. WM2003 introduced a number of bugs, some of them serious.

If your X5 shipped with WM2003 and you want to upgrade it to WM2002 then I believe you can download the image from Dells' website.
