Any remedies (don't suggest hard reset)for me to get Pocket Word to open? It will not open for attachments or when using "find" or "file explorer" to open the file. It won't open clicking the icon in programs, nor on the Today screen under new-->word document. The words "Pocket Word" will show up on the top bar, but no document. Won't open if the file is stored in "built-in" or on my 512 Kingston SD.
Pocket Excel works fine.

First, go into memory and close all running programs.
Then try file explorer and go to the windows directory and scroll down to "pword". is there anything in the size area...i.e. 95.0K?
Double click that.
This should open your directory of word files under all folders.
If you've made it this far, then try double clicking on a file.
Are you using textmaker?
Any luck?

I didn't get too far. The word file is 95.0k . But it won't open. Single nor double click.

try backing up all you files then doing a hard reset

   

Just curious how did you get the word file on the PPC ? if it was not converted (thru active sync) it may not be able to open it. So if you moved the file thru a card reader or such that may be the problem.

Just a thought as I am new to the PPC world.

Brian, great question. Two weeks ago I got a replacement A30H (cracked my screen). I reloaded all apps. from scratch. I can't recall if I was able to open any WORD files after I first reloaded all apps. The word files on the storage card worked fine on the previous A30H.

tmurf, I have the exact same problem. Pocket Word does not open. Yet, everything else appears as usual. I have a A30H. Whenever I click on the "Pocket Word" icon in File Explorer or on the Start->Today Screen, only the title "Pocket Word" appears at the top.

I think that this may relate to templates...I might have moved some templates somwhere where they cannot be found.

no tmurf, I do not have Phatnotes installed (and never had it).

Just thought it may be that conflict. I use it.

Well, guess what- Pocket word is now Working! I did soft reset. I know I did more than one earlier. Oh well, I'm a happy camper
