PIE isn't exactly a top-of-the-line browser. It has numerous faults...anybody know of a good *FREEWARE* replacement??? I haven't even begun to step foot into pocket pc browsers yet.

Dan from what I have been able to figure out.. You have a couple PIE Add-ons Pieplus and Ftxpbrowser and both of those still give the same error since they are addons then you have a pay software called netfront which I was not impressed by. Other than that I haven't seen any others to speak of. X

Look at this site and you will get multiple click ok to continue loading messages. http://www.donparker.us

Also since updating my rom to dell's newest version when I click on the Click Here! For Weather Radar View! link PIE completely shuts down. Not just min, actually closes down. Anyone else experience this?

We need a good browser for PPC. Explorer stinks!!!

You're right, it is because of the judgement against microsoft regarding the patent on embedded media. In theory all other browsers will need to do something about this, because in theory they would all be violating the patent, but the sharks go against microsoft first because that's where the big money is.
For what it's worth I've heard from people that have had their windows xp machines set to automatically update and now they're driven nuts by this same message on their desktops. It's a nightmare because so many sites also use flash-based advertising, and each instance of embedded media will pop up the message.

Allsub I have windows xp installed with sp2 with all current updates and don't have any issues yet on my desktop.. I searched all over the registry modifing just about every PIE option and had no luck on killing the popup.. Sooner or later someone will figure out how to stop it but we need more people complaining.. X

I have the same problem when trying to load sirius on the PPC, it might be the combination of java and flash....some things just don't want to work. Mozilla as stated above can't get here fast enough.

I have seen others that said their PIE would die on them.. Mine has never locked up but if I visit a site with a flash header I have to hit ok on every page that sucks when reading a forum.. X

The version of PIE on the Pocket PC does not have Flash capability as standard.(I am using an X30 with most recent version of Win2003SE)
However, you can download the Flash Player free at http://www.macromedia.com/software/f...etpc/2002.html

This won't stop the "Press OK to continue loading this page" but it will allow you to view Flash properly on the handheld device.

Mark go to www.bannedrc.com and I am positive you will get the error. It has a flash header and if I remove that header no errors as soon as I add it back.. I get the message.. X
