Their non-standard terminology was also on ppc2002, I still don't know what it means. I think that's the beauty of the zero configuration, it sets it by itself.

Hmmm.. I upgraded about a week ago, and I have had NO problems at all. I also have 3 "secure" wireless networks that I had to configure and they all work great. I have also since, installed an iGPS CF and software. Everything seems to work fine with no issues at all.

If you call Dell, you can get the CDROM. I bought mine from a friend who did that. I don't miss PC2002 at all.

It's a bummer that I can't go to SE, but hey.... I'm happy with what I have.

/Cheers!

Go to this message thread from Axim User Dot Com. See the message from omaraxim posted Feb 11, 2004. This works.

Ike has a great WiFi tutorial at http://wifi.aximsite.com/wifi-faq.html

He explains that "Internet" is for direct connections such as dial-up while "Work" is for connecting through an AP or network.
"Work would more properly be called network but relates back a few years when many people had networks in their work place, but only a dialup connection at home."

I just switched from 2002 to 2003 (eBay). Not a big difference but a number of small improvements.

I thought PocketWiNc was a 30 day trial. Is there a free version? Where?

PC Magazine released a FREE version a couple of years ago. I don't think it's still available from them.

Worth looking for on the web though as it is a very good app.
