dang, don't know what to tell ya. I did not have to load 1.5 or 1.6 just the HP file and everything is fine.

You have A03 installed?

I installed it before the A03 rom update no problem. I just tried reinstalling the BT icon on an A03 x50v. I quit the BT tray using memmaid then copied the new one into /Windows. Now for whatever reason I just have an empty gap near my wifi icon. I think it's because there's still a .lnk in the /Windows directory too....any help would be appreciated.

You can check in the \Windows\Startup\ and see. You might have 2 BTTrayCE.lnk

The right sequence should have been:
1-Delete or move BTtrayCE.lnk and Wirelessicon.lnk in \Windows\startup
2-Soft-Reset
3-Copy the new BTtrayCE and Wirelessicon to \Windows
4-Creat shortcuts of both in \Windows\Startup\
5-If you have MemMaid, you might want to arrange the startup order to place the icon position to your liking
6-Soft reset

It's cool. It has changed the look of WiFi and BT icons. Now the screen looks great.

Thanks for cool stuff.

I do have a .lnk and the actual exe in my Windows start up. I also have one in my RAM from the BT 1.6.0 update too....I can't delete the .lnk. Tried Resco and no luck. So there's the .lnk and the new BTtrayCE. Then the one in RAM. Maybe the one in the RAM is causing the problems? Any way of getting rid of it? Thanks in advance.

Does this work with the A05 update?

I do not have anything in my Startup folder on my pda and there is no WirelessIcon file to overwrite.

Just installed the A04 Rom, the A03 icons seem to work with the A04 Rom.

Hi,

For the maker(s) of the wifi icon, how about making a version that is at a 90 degree angle so that it lines up and sits up the same way the BlueTooth version is? Actually, how does this look as a suggestion?

Please ignore the two ugly icons on the left and right side of it. Actually, anyone also make a replacement for the stinking "connected" icon?

Hi great icons :)
however since I have installed them I can no longer use PIE??, I dont know if its connected somehow, but everything was OK before I installed these icons.
I have now reinstalled a backup, still doesn't work! I have also done a hard reset and reinstalled from a different backup, and PIE still will not work.
I have now done a hard reset and will have to wait untill I get home tonight to reinstall everything from scratch.

When I say PIE will not work, I mean that PIE starts but does not show the 'home' screen or an address in the tool bar and then my Axim X50V freezes and I have to do a soft reset.
Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks

trouble

Everybody is having fun with the nice icon but I am having a problem.

After overwrite it it kept showing "Sorry! Bluetooth can no longer be used because the license is expired", don't why is that but I didn't backup the icon before overwrite it, stupid.

I am using A06 on my Axim X30, that might be the problem.

Can someone send me a oringinal BTTrayCE file to my email at yuyi429@hotmail.com?

Thanks

I've taken these icons and made a smaller couple of files that you can drop on your device and use instead of replacing the executables directly. This will work with any ROM release (since you'll still be using the version in ROM), and it saves a small bit of RAM.

Just drop the two files in the zip in the \Windows folder and soft-reset the device. If you've already replaced the executables, just rename the executables and delete them after a soft-reset to revert back to the ROM executables.

Note: These should only work with the English ROM image, other ROM images will require changing the filenames.
