Any 3D icons for the 1.6.0b0600 version? Tried those in the first page and they are 1.5.0 version icons.

You can use the version I just posted. It'll work with any version of the executables.

Just drop the two files in the zip in the \Windows folder and soft-reset the device. If you've already replaced the executables, just rename the executables and delete them after a soft-reset to revert back to the ROM executables.

Note: These should only work with the English ROM image, other ROM images will require changing the filenames.
Sweet! Thanks! I forgot to hack the new exe file, your mui files make it so I don't have to hack with every new release!

Thanks again

Here you go. Drop the contents of "ActiveSync Icon" in the attached zip file in the \Windows folder and soft-reset the device.

And delete the shortcut on your start menu (back it up somewhere!) and replace it with the contents of "New ActiveSync Shortcut.zip". Note, there's no good way that I know of to change the program's icon, so this won't change the icon for any switcher type applications you might have.

Thanks for the AS icon, Seligman. Looks way better than the standard icon and works fine with A05, as do the 3D and BT icons.

hey seligman,

can you hack the AS icon that shows up in the start menu to match the AS icon you posted?

Seligman,
Any chance you could write up a quick how-to of your icons? I am interested in making my own, and I think others may be too!

Seligman, Many thanks!
I have a questions. Those modifications are for Axim X50v only or it can be applied to any WM2003 device?

I'll try to write something up this weekend or perhaps next week. I'll start a new thread once I get something that's understandable.

These will work for any WM2003SE device. The replacement icons for the system tray area will, however, only work for VGA devices (And I'm guessing the WiFi one will only work for the x50v, and the Bluetooth one will only work for devices that use the same stack). On QVGA devices, if I recall correctly, the icons will be cut off.

I'm not exactly good with drawing icons, so I won't be able to provide QVGA versions, but hopefully once I come out with some directions on how this is done, others who are better at the art work can fill in any voids.

seligman,

What an awesome job. I really appreciate these icons. I was really hating that Connection Icon!
