activesync installation on XP fails
running xp home edition on dell laptop. when i try to install activesync off the CD that comes with x50v.. nothing happens. execute setup and.. nothing. in task manager i can see setup.exe sitting there doing nothing.
on my desktop windows 2000 machine had no problem installing activesync tho' any idea? firewall is turned off. downloaded one from microsoft website but all it does is extract, starts setup.exe and nothing again | |||||

Are you logged in as an Administrator? If you are, use browse to navigate to the setup.exe on the disk.

A couple other things to try?
1. Disable popup stopper and antivirus. 2. Close down any MS products such as Outlook. | |||||
