Hello,

I thought this may be of interest to some people. I have a Dell Axim X50V with a Netgear Router. When I tried to use wifi Active Sync I always got the error message: An error occured checking for out-of-date appointments, please detach your device and perform a soft reset. This only happened when I used WiFi to perform synchronisation. The error did not occur with a cradle or bluetooth sync. After a long error search I found that the problem was caused by

VM Network browser on the Axim.

This program placed a folder called

Network

into the root directory of the Axim. After disabling this folder from within VM Network browser and only then uninstalling VM Network browser ActiveSync over Wifi worked flawlessly again.
